Alta Montessori Daycare and OSC

Hi I am Faiza Barbar, this daycare is more than 40 years old.We have kinder, preschool, toddlers and osc. This daycare used to have two locations downtown and at Princeton elementary school. We are a school daycare. The child will go to grade one knowing how to read and write. Eman is my daughter and was subbing for Alta as a child and was hired as a director when she was 18 years old and I was assisting her. She has Early Childhood Diploma, Montessori teacher and is still learning as she is taking children psychology at the university of Alberta. I’m just shocked by the review from a person or a parent as he called himself Jesse and we never ever had someone with this name before. We are an honest, respectful, educated, and experienced daycare. The human being wouldn’t insult another human by the way he is or the health problem he suffers from. Every child that has crossed our lives has left marks in our hearts forever. At Alta Montessori we embrace all races, and cultures. We do not accept any form of racism, bullying, and hatred. I was 17 years old when I became Canadian so I am Canadian more than I am Arab. We welcome every nationality and we put them in our lives and hearts. This is what Alta Montessori Daycare is about. I feel sorry for the person who stated such a hateful review but when they insult people like that it means they have hatred for everyone.

I've discovered Alta Montessori about two years ago. It's an amazing daycare/OSC that is not only subsidized (therefore, have to adhere to regulations and occasional surprised inspections from the government) but believes in the Montessori learning objectives with very competitive child care cost. If you want to provide your child with a great foundation prior to Kindergarten, this is the place. My daughter (who's currently 4) know how to spell, identify, and write her name. She can also do basic mathematics, pronounce proper English words, and problem solve (think outside the box concept). Besides all those great things, Mrs. Barbar treats the kids like her own, she will discipline (not physically or yelling or anything like that) like how any mother would want to teach when a child does something that is wrong. For example, I've witness her telling another OSC child that she's asked that child not to do that numerous times and why she would think that's a good idea. They were in another room, so I know it wasn't an act. So, if you want a Montessori program that incorporates realistic value learning environment for your child and their growing minds, this is a wonderful option.

My son attended the daycare for over 2 years and he changed, developed, improved and learned so much in that time. I am so blessed, thankful and grateful to all the staff that guided and assisted my son on the day by day basis. They helped him with his speech and language, with listening to and following instructions, with making friends and learning how to share and treat others with kindness, just to name a few things. They are all extremely hard working, committed and dedicated to the children and strive to develop the best environment and atmosphere for the children. Would absolutely recommend if you need a space for your child to thrive!

My daughter has been here for a year, it is the best day care facility that I have seen. She has learned so much and not only in terms of content but also in terms of manners and how to interact with other children and individuals. All of the staff are amazing and go above and beyond to make sure that the kids are comfortable and have everything they need.

To the person who is calling himself Jesse honestly if you had your kids here you would know that is not true. This is one of the best daycares I have ever come across and for you to put down the teachers that is a super low. That is disrespectful and inappropriate. I am going to make sure that this comment be removed.They treat the kids with nothing but respect and they are always outside playing I am a parent and my son comes here

Lovely place for kids where they learn and improve and truly amazing staff

My son and daughter aged 5 and 2 years old have attended Alta Montessori for almost a year and have learned so much. They always look forward to going to daycare, for them Alta Montessori is a home away from home.Ms Eman, Ms Barbar and all the staff do such an amazing job with the kids. They have excelled at creating a fun, safe, educational, and loving environment for the children that attend this facility, they are truly passionate about what they do. I highly recommend this facility to anyone.

First off let me Begin by saying that I'm an experienced Google guide as you can see by my contributions in the past that I am fair and honest... To Jesse Pearson your review doesn't/ shouldn't carry much weight considering that you use insults to mask your shortcomings as a parent for someone who has never had a child at Alta montessori out of school care and to write a review such as that just shows your character one merely needs to look at your profile to see what kind of person you are... As for Alta Montessori I have two children that are in their care the age of 2 and 5 and I feel very comfortable and know that my children are safe and in well-cared-for environment Miss Iman Miss Barbara are well experienced in the care of children they are caring and courteous and I have never had reason to believe otherwise. my children are happy. I ask them about their day at school everyday and have I never had reason for concern not only do they teach them in the Montessori way, the teacher about friendships and respect for one another, they have field trips, end of the year  pageant, hot lunch for children who may not have enough to eat. I highly recommend this school and out of school care facility to anyone who is looking for it. their hours are very flexible for those of us who work the facility is very clean and their support staff  very helpful. I hope you will find this review helpful and I hope that you don't let one bad review keep your children from experiencing what I have found to be a great environment for mine and hopefully your children to grow up in thank you for your time

This an amazing daycare my daughter and son attend here and they love the teachers. it's like a home away from home I love the cleanness and how friendly and respectful the staffs are.

Being new to the neighborhood about 2 years ago, I had no experience with the Daycares around, but was sure that I wanted a Montessori for my child to attend.Since my son has been attending Alta Montessori Daycare and OSC, with the supervision of great teachers and also a great management, Ms. Eman and Mrs. Barbar, he has learnt so much and is still learning a lot. We love their hands on approach in their method of teaching.I highly recommend this Montessori to anyone looking for a great place for their child/ren to develop with the great supervision of some of the greatest people who lead by example like Ms. Eman and Mrs. Barbar.
